| | Welcome to the Indian Territories After a short introduction to the course objectives and a quick exposure to some of the salient concepts we will be discussing, we jump right into the meat of the course. It's important to see the Friday night session because missing it can leave one behind and playing catch up on Saturday morning.
Fun Session and Dinner A catered dinner is provided at the hangar. Stump the Instructors; bring your tough questions! George, John and Walter will take questions concerning engine management so we can all be certain that you get what you've paid to learn. We want to make certain that no one leaves with a single question unanswered.
Immersion Therapy Engine test stand run. You will be exposed to the flood of information that is generated on the most advanced engine test stand in the world, The Carl Goulet Memorial Engine Test Facility. We do not expect anyone to grasp all that they see during their first glance at the wonders of the GAMI computers or all of the things happening inside a combustion chamber in real time but this initial exposure to the source of the most reliable data available will make the next two days more meaningful. You'll leave for the hotel with visions of pressure traces dancing in your head, ready for a data-packed weekend of learning. Do not underestimate the importance of this experience. It will forever change, in a fundamental way, how you "think" about your engine. This is true whether or not you are an experienced "engine head" or a novice to piston engines.
